Aardv:ark babies

Apparently a baby aardv:ark is called a cub. Anyway…

As many people will already now, aardv:ark is expecting its first cubs at the end of this year or early next. That’s right team, Pete and Lindsay Osborne are expecting twins (a boy and a girl). Hooray!

What people might not have realised is that, as the first babies, we have a legal right to name them and Pete and Linz HAVE to agree. So here is your chance to put forward your ideas. Currently in the running are Speedy Monkey Osborne and Buffalo Galaxy Osborne but there’s still plenty of time…

Paul and I favour Mari Olivia and Louis George (Pete is a SuperMario fan – think about it…) or perhaps Prince Peter Beta Edition Osborne for the boy.

So do your best/worst. And bear in mind that as Pete is going to be responsible for supporting a family that has doubled in number in a few months, he may well be open to bribes if you want them to be named after you. Get thinking!

    Bethanwy and Matthew
Joseph and Mary (or Adam and Eve along similar lines)
    Abigail, Phoebe, Hagar
Agrippa (one who causes great pain at his birth), Demetrius, Elijah, Thomas (means a twin)
Can you spot the biblical theme yet (and the welsh decoy)?

    Oooh, I love polls!!

Hmm.. I think Adam and Eve is my fav so far but I also think things that should be in thye running are:

    Emma and Duncan
    Charlotte and Duncan
    Ireland and Republic
    Ruth and Boaz
    Obed and Edom
    Fred and Ginger
    Fred and Wilma
    Tamar and Amnon

The first option would be my preference of course!

How about Mango and Poppy? They’re nice names? Actually we used to play this game for kitten names… Ross and Cromarty, Hansel and Gretel etc etc, you can find some quite amusing ones…. somehow I think Pete and Lindsay might go their own way here!!!

I would like to register a vote for Agrippa, good name there!

Also if I could suggest, Agamemnon, forget about the background of the name and just think about how it sounds, say it 10 times in a row and I’m sure you’ll agree that Agamemnon Osborne is the way to go..

If not try some Shakespearean characters:
    Mercutio
    Oephelia
    Viola
    Beatrice

Or go completely off the wall (as these weren’t!?!) and go for peanut and butter!
